7 popular benefits answers guaranteed to save you time

A woman sits on a bed, stretching her arms upwards with a feeling of refreshment. a classic alarm clock shows the time in a warmly lit bedroom.

You’re about to get some time back in your day, courtesy of our MyLife Advisors and 7 answers around common benefits calls they field.

The time you’ll save by not having to hop on the phone can add up to a surplus of seconds (and minutes) to put towards more important things.

Is my doctor in-network?

Unsure if your physician or other preferred docs are in or out of network? There is usually a “Find a Doctor” section on your insurance carrier’s site that will quickly tell you in a few keystrokes.

What prescriptions are covered by my carrier?

Likewise, carrier sites have a list of covered medications by plan network — though we hear petting cats and dogs can help lower blood pressure, which is free of charge.

How do I find my member ID or get an insurance card?

We get this one a lot. Sadly, ADP TotalSource doesn’t have access to this information, since it’s yours (and sensitive).

The best way to find this quickly for booking appointments is directly through your carrier’s site or app. You’ll usually find it under your member profile (and maybe a way to request a physical card).

How do I review my benefits elections?

Log into ADP TotalSource, then go to Myself > Benefits > Enrollment. For a print-friendly version, click View Benefits, enter the effective date range, then click Download in the top right corner.

Are calendar year and plan year the same thing?

Not exactly. Calendar years run from Jan 1 – Dec 31. A plan year, which we use for our benefits coverage dates, is on a different schedule. It runs from June 1 to May 31 of the next year.

When will my Health Care FSA rollover funds be available?

After the new plan year begins, usually before mid-June.

What about my other enrollment questions you didn’t cover?

Enrolling in Your Benefits has some very helpful resources, like frequently asked questions and an enrollment walkthrough. If you still need a hand we’re a phone call away.
